WORKSHOP #2: SATURDAY CLASS (2hr)
“Graceful foot play for barridas, sandwiches and paradas”

Some of the oldest figures in tango are those in which partners playfully touch each other’s feet, such as paradas, sandwiches and especially barridas. In this workshop we will look at the main principles of creating comfortable and light foot contact for these types of movements, static and dynamic. We will study various sequences including barridas (sweeps) as well as some atypical sandwiches and surprising ways of creating paradas (stops).

WORKSHOP #3: SUNDAY CLASS (2hrs)
“Axis awareness”

In classes you will often hear the teachers mention the mysterious concept of “the axis”. This concept is often not very clear and frequently misunderstood. However, it is crucial to understand how our body moves in space and finds balance. In this workshop we will get a clear understanding of what we mean by the word “axis” and how leaders and followers use their own in order to communicate with each other and to move together harmoniously. We will work both on linear movements, such as the walk, as well as pivots. Thanks to this workshop your dance will become smoother and more dynamic.
