We are delighted to welcome Giorgos Nikou & Katerina Chatzipanteli to London for a week of special workshops at Tango Amistoso!

Trained directly under the legendary Chicho Frúmboli, Giorgos & Katerina carry forward a lineage that has shaped modern tango across the world. Their dancing combines deep respect for the tradition of tango salón with Chicho’s spirit of exploration and innovation.

They are celebrated for their musical precision, technical clarity, and powerful expression. Giorgos is admired for his strength, clean lines, and ability to create a grounded, secure embrace. Katerina is praised for her elegance, fluidity, and subtle creativity, which bring lightness and sensitivity to their dance. Together, they form a partnership that is both intensely connected and artistically free.

As teachers, Giorgos & Katerina are known for their structured yet inspiring approach. Their classes balance technique with improvisation, offering dancers the tools to refine their fundamentals while exploring new possibilities of musicality and connection. Having taught and performed widely across Europe, they bring an international perspective while always staying true to the essence of tango.
