Canyengue ("to walk with rhythm and character") and Orillero ("from the shore") are the original styles of Argentine Tango, born among dockside workers and in the city’s outskirts.
Danced to classic orchestras like Canaro and Fresedo, this workshop explores their unique rhythms, embrace, structure and decorations — helping you embody the playful, grounded quality of Canyengue and the elegant, spacious flow of Orillero.
Be ready to experience the real soul of Tango Argentino.
The special workshop is £25, or £12.50 for Tango Amistoso subscribers. Milonga entry is £15 and is included for subscribers. Join us at 10 Herbal Hill, Farringdon, London EC1R 5EG.
