With the current social distancing measures in place, it is not that easy to keep up with Tango the way we like it as social dancers. One of the most important aspects of social dancing is how musicality is expressed. Expressing musicality in social dancing comes with it’s own sets of challenges. There are not many people who dance as much as myself (Winston) and Silvia do in Milongas in London. In these series of workshops we will share a system for building up your musicality from the ground up.
The workshops are now available online for you on demand. Please look for the email with instructions on how to access the videos after you have signed up. The email will include instructions for how to get one-on-one feedback from the teachers too.
Workshop 1 : Musicality Fundamentals and Introduction to Tango Orchestras (now available online for anytime viewing)
This workshop will set you up to discover a world of Tango Musicality. We will go through all the basics, you will be able to apply these concepts using well structured exercises, get an introduction to the Tango Orchestras and take home a carefully curated set of online material that can accompany you in your Tango journey and a bunch of home work too.

Workshop 2 : Orchestras and Tandas – how to dance differently to every Tanda (now available online for anytime viewing)
One of the common Beginners’ mistake in Tango is to dance every Tanda the same way using the same sequences and quality of dancing. In this workshop, we will help you to differentiate between a D’Arienzo and Di Sarli, a Troilo and Tanturi, etc. There will be exercises and sequences to work on and also a useful collection of online resources and home work to take with you.

Workshop 3 : Double time, Pauses, Syncopations, Adornments – expanding your musicality
We will dive deeper into musicality in this workshop and explore double time, the importance of pauses, where to pause, understand syncopations, where to expect them, learn adornments and more importantly learn when and where to apply them. We will leave you with online resources and exercises to take home.
