About the teacher

Teaching tango through connection, movement and music

Charline Roberts is a resident teacher at Tango Amistoso, where she teaches Argentine tango classes in London alongside Kiran SP. Her approach is warm, encouraging and attentive to the details that help students become comfortable social dancers.

Charline helps learners develop balance, clarity and confidence while remaining sensitive to their partner. She supports students in understanding both roles in the dance and in seeing technique as a practical tool for better communication rather than an end in itself.

Her classes reflect Tango Amistoso’s commitment to structured learning in a relaxed and friendly environment. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore musical possibilities and build skills that can be used confidently in a real milonga.

Through her regular teaching in Angel and Islington, Charline plays an important role in welcoming new dancers and helping them become part of the wider Tango Amistoso community.
