Isavella Georgopoulou

A thoughtful and expressive teacher developed through years of training at Tango Amistoso.

About the teacher

Teaching tango through connection, movement and music

Isavella Georgopoulou is a resident teacher at Tango Amistoso. She first encountered tango in Greece and has undertaken most of her subsequent development through seven years of sustained training with Winston Veerender in London.

Having progressed from student to teacher inside the Tango Amistoso system, Isavella understands the learning process from both sides. Her teaching is calm, detailed and attentive, with a strong focus on helping students understand how movement, connection and communication work together.

Isavella brings sensitivity and expressiveness to her dancing. She encourages students to develop reliable technique without losing the curiosity, individuality and enjoyment that make social tango rewarding.

She teaches and assists across Tango Amistoso’s London programme, supporting beginners as they find their first confident steps and helping more experienced dancers refine the quality and intention of their movement.
