About the teacher

Teaching tango through connection, movement and music

Kiran SP is a resident teacher at Tango Amistoso, teaching regular Argentine tango classes in London. He is known within the community for his friendly manner, thoughtful explanations and ability to make students feel at ease.

Kiran works with dancers at different stages, placing particular value on dependable fundamentals: balance, comfortable connection, clear lead-and-follow communication and movement that works naturally in a social-dance setting.

His teaching follows Tango Amistoso’s structured learning approach while giving students room to experiment, ask questions and find solutions in their own bodies. The aim is not simply to reproduce a sequence but to understand why it works and how it can be adapted on the dance floor.

Kiran teaches alongside Charline Roberts in Tango Amistoso’s Angel and Islington programme and contributes to the warm, collaborative character of the school.
