Teaching tango through connection, movement and music
Loukas Balokas and Georgia Priskou are Greek Argentine tango dancers, teachers and performers known for the clarity, energy and musical expression of their partnership.
Their teaching gives equal importance to the individual technique of each dancer and to the coordination of the couple. They explore balance, elasticity, embrace and musical interpretation in a way that supports both comfortable social dancing and more ambitious movement.
Loukas and Georgia communicate detailed ideas with warmth and energy. Students are encouraged to understand the structure of a movement, then use that understanding to improvise rather than repeat a fixed choreography.
They join Tango Amistoso as visiting teachers, offering London dancers an opportunity to experience their distinctive combination of precision, playfulness and expressive tango.
